Summer may be winding down, but music fans have plenty to look forward to this fall.From long-awaited returns and career-defining new chapters to final bows and deeply personal statements, the season’s release calendar is stacked with something for every kind of listener.

Carly Rae Jepsen, Orville Peck, Tinashe and Leon Bridges are among the artists serving up fresh sounds, while legends like Soft Cell and Wynonna Judd will take listeners on some of their most reflective journeys to date.

Soft Cell

Danceteria (September 25) will be the sixth and final album for the “Tainted Love” duo. Vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist Dave Ball played together as Soft Cell since the 1970s, and Almond wanted to release the record as a tribute to Ball, who completed his work on the project’s 14 tracks before his death at 66 in 2025.
