Los Angeles,
CA – Having lost count of the number of shows played
over two decades across five continents, punk veterans STRUNG
OUT have announced their first round of tour dates in support
of the band’s seventh album, Agents Of The Underground,
out September 29th via Fat Wreck Chords
(see all tour dates below). In anticipation to the group’s
new release, Spin.com is
unveiling the first song off the album entitled “Black
Crosses,” which can be downloaded here: http://www.spin.com/articles/exclusive-download-strung-outs-new-single.
"We have had the
whole summer off to sit and wait for this bomb to drop,” says
Strung Out vocalist Jason Cruz. “And starting
in Texas seems an appropriate place. We are a new band with this
release and we’re looking forward to those all night drives,
waffle house dinners and overall chaos that comes with life on the
road."
Celebrating their 20th
anniversary with Agents Of The Underground, Cruz
recently said, “This album is truly the culmination of everything
we’ve done.” Produced by Cameron Webb (Motorhead,
Social Distortion, Ignite), Agents Of The Underground flawlessly
melds Strung Out’s signature sound of punk rock fury executed
with metal precision and technicality. Long time fans of the band
sporting the iconic Astrolux logo (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Astrolux)
will headbang and mosh approvingly to new cuts like “Black
Crosses,” “Ghetto Heater,” and “Jack
Knife,” while fans being introduced to the band for
the first time will feel at home shouting along to “Vanity”
and “Carcrashradio” in sweaty clubs
across the country.
Strung Out is Jason
Cruz (vocals), Jake Kiley (guitar),
Rob Ramos (guitar), Chris Aiken
(bass), and Jordan Burns (drums).
