Husband/wife duo featuring Grammy-nominated
producer/mixer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails,
Marilyn Manson, No Doubt) and Stop Staring!
celebrity model Juliette Beavan,
8MM are gearing up for their inaugural full-band
national tour. Building on their already all-star lineup, the
Beavans called on Tim Kelleher (30 Seconds
To Mars, My Darling Murder) to slide and slither on the
bass and Elias Mallin (Ke$ha, Kill Hannah,
My Darling Murder) to add power to the sexy on the drums.
The tour will kick off at The Griffin in San Diego
on October 30th followed by their wedding anniversary celebration
show on Halloween (yes, they were married on Halloween) at The
3 Clubs in their hometown of Los Angeles and continue up
and then down the West Coast.
Lead vocalist Juliette was very
adamant about self-releasing their new album Between
The Devil And Two Black Hearts: “We refuse
to believe that, in order to make the music that continues to
earn a place in your heart, we must dip ourselves in sugar and
plastic of a color that a corporate image consultant chooses."
"Our music is about grit and glamour," echoes Sean.
Utilizing Sean’s production expertise and fueled by famous
backers including Marilyn Manson, legendary
author/activist Margaret Atwood, actress/singer
Jill Hennessy (Law & Order, Crossing
Jordan), and actress Kate Moennig (The
L Word, Young Americans) among many others, the band raised
a total of $39,503 via Kickstarter. Now, it’s
time to fill their end of the bargain – touring.
Championed by some of the industry’s
leading tastemakers, such as Nic Harcourt of KCRW,
and being named one of the Bands You Need To Know in
Alternative Press, and a “Buzz
Band” by the Los Angeles Times,
8MM’s music has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy,
One Tree Hill, Shark , Underworld: Awakening, Nip Tuck,
Nikita, and the Mr. And Mrs. Smith soundtrack,
amongst many others. Sean’s credits as a much sought-out
producer/mixer include Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson,
No Doubt, Slayer, Thrice, and Depeche Mode.
Juliette Beavan has been has been tapped as a celebrity model
for the popular red carpet line, Stop Staring!, joining
other celebrity A-listers, such as Nicole Kidman, Eva
Mendes, Trisha Yearwoood, Christina Aguilera and Meg
White (White Stripes).
